Paper pulp rolls are manufactured with paper pulp roll paper as the core raw material. When the roll body bears working pressure, it delivers excellent resilience, and the paper pulp layer features favorable dimensional recovery. Meanwhile, paper pulp roll paper is heat-resistant and resistant to thermal deformation under high-temperature working conditions. Leveraging these superior properties, materials processed by paper pulp rolls (wool rolls), including paper, cloth, leather, nonwoven fabrics, carbon fiber fabrics and other new materials, achieve uniform finished thickness, low deformation, outstanding hand feel and luster, which fully ensures stable quality of processed products.

Paper pulp rolls are widely used in calendering, embossing and texturing processes for paper, cloth and leather. They are also applied in plastic film calendaring, cold-rolled steel plate polishing and other processing procedures. In recent years, the application scope of the product has been continuously expanded, and it has been gradually adopted for calendering of new materials such as nonwoven fabrics and carbon fiber fabrics.

Paper pulp roll paper, also known as calender roll paper, embossing roll paper and texturing roll paper, is commonly referred to as "wool paper" in the industry due to a certain proportion of wool fibers blended in its raw materials. It serves as an essential filling consumable and the primary raw material for producing paper pulp rolls (wool rolls).

This product is made from a blend of cotton fibers and wool fibers (wool content: 10–40%), formed on a Fourdrinier or inclined wire paper machine, and then finished through multiple processes including slitting, inspection, sorting, finishing and packaging.

A small number of paper pulp rolls are currently made of 100% cotton pulp or 100% brown wood pulp.
